My Favourite Antique Shop

So recently I have mentioned an antique shop that I frequent in some other blog posts and it now finally has its own dedicated post, it's called the Nachoochee Village Antique Mall, it's located on the main road that leads into Helen about half a mile before you reach the main town, and its huge! It may not look it on the outside but it has four floors and each floor has at least 6 rooms and even on your second time round a floor you will find an area you haven't seen yet, that's one of my favourite parts about it, I can spend a good 2 hours wandering around the rooms picking up things that I like. I always do a second sweep though and I highly recommend doing so, you always see more on your second time around.

The one thing that I wished I'd bought was this mug! So cute.

I've been to this shop a couple of times since I've moved here and each time I've come back with something, during my first trip my husband bought me a Polaroid Land Camera which at that point I had only seen pictures of them and I never thought i would own one, especially for $20! It was in excellent condition and upon further inspection I found an old family photograph that someone had hidden in the manual! I have a habit of finding things in items I buy from antique shops, I once bought a vintage bag and found a train ticket to New Delhi in the 1920's and a single diamond earring! I'll probably give that bag it's own separate post.

The most recent trip was on my birthday in the the last week of August, I bought a lot this time round and I've already posted about one of them, the tin type photograph of the young girl, alongside that I bought a tripod for my DSLR camera and a new camera bag which was an absolute steal at only 10 bucks! It's leather and I believe its from the 70's? Amazing condition though not even a scratch, and of course in the tradition of me finding things when I looked into one of the pockets I found a kodak manual and some lens cleaning cloths! I also bought a choker which is soo gorgeous, its my new favourite accessory.

‍The only vaguely disappointing thing is that I haven't really seen much in the way of clothing at this store, and I love vintage clothing, my husband and i have tried on silly hats and the like but I really would love to buy some clothing. When I'm back in England I will be taking part in some hardcore vintage shopping and of course there will be blog posts to follow!
